Terms of Service
This website currently accepts inquiries about custom pieces. It does not accept orders or payments. The custom-order policy below explains our intended approach when ordering becomes available.
Who we are
SideBox Studios is operated by its owner, based in Washington State, USA ("SideBox Studios", "we", "us"). You can contact us at contact@sideboxstudios.com.
Inquiries are not orders
Tell us about a place through the contact form. We can discuss whether a piece is possible and what details would be needed. Sending an inquiry does not reserve production, establish a price, create a purchase or authorize payment. We may decline a request if the data or rights needed to make the piece are unavailable. Before any future order is placed, its design, price, shipping and other terms must be agreed with you separately.
Advance policy for future custom orders
Custom pieces would be made for an individual place or route. Before production, you would have an opportunity to review and approve the final digital model. Please raise changes before giving that approval.
Changes of mind
Once you approve the final model for a custom order, we do not accept cancellations or returns simply because you changed your mind. The piece is made specifically for you. This rule will be presented again before a future order is confirmed.
Problems with a piece
If a future order arrives damaged, defective, is the wrong item or differs materially from the model you approved, contact us at contact@sideboxstudios.com promptly. Photos of the piece and packaging can help us assess shipping damage. We will review the issue and arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or refund where required or agreed.
Printed layers and small variations in finish are normal characteristics of FDM printing. They do not excuse a defect or a piece that does not match the approved model. Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
About the pieces
The pieces shown are decorative objects, not navigation aids. Scale and terrain detail can differ from the underlying map data.
What you send us
The contact form does not accept files. Do not put private routes or sensitive location details in your message. Only share material you have the right to use; we may decline a request involving someone else's artwork, data or brand. If we need a route file later, we will discuss a suitable way to transfer it.
Photos of your piece
We will not publish your name, private route or images of a future custom piece without your permission.
Our designs and content
Our site, original branding and original designs are protected by applicable rights. Third-party data and customer-supplied material remain subject to their respective rights. Ownership and permitted use of any future physical piece or digital model will be described before an order is placed.
Place names and third-party data
SideBox Studios is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any ski resort, trail or land manager. Place, trail and resort names are used only to describe the terrain a piece shows, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We will follow applicable data-source attribution requirements.
Using the site
Please use the site lawfully. Do not try to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access, copy its content for commercial use or send unlawful or harmful material.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the site and ordering process develop. The date above shows when this page was last updated. Future order terms will be shown before an order is accepted.
